This happens because the natural wax we use can form tiny crystals on the surface as temperatures change — it’s called wax bloom ("frosting") It’s completely normal and won’t affect how your fire starter performs.

Store your fire starters in a relatively cool, dry place away from moisture. Try to avoid damp environments like sheds or garages, as natural materials can absorb moisture over time.

Each fire starter is designed to burn for up to 15 minutes, giving you plenty of time to get your fire going.
